Why You Should try Burger King's Spooky Halloween Whopper

by Guest Blogger Sarah Hawthorne

For something that's been reinvented so many times, it never ceases to amaze me how innovative one can get with a hamburger. Using A1 on a burger is nothing new, but Burger King found a winner by baking the A1 INTO their bun with their new Halloween Whopper.

Burger King, whopper, burgers, McDonald's, Red Robin
While the black bun may seem offsetting at first, you can clearly taste the A1 flavor infused throughout. If you are already fan of Burger King, this limited-time menu item is worth the extra $1.50 or so over a traditional Whopper combo. As an added tip, be sure to check your teeth in the bathroom mirror before leaving the restaurant because the remnants of the black bun will leave your grill looking a little "spooky".

Have you tried the Halloween Whopper? If so, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Why we love Red Robin's Fruffles

We are bringing one of our most popular blog posts for Throwback Thursday. If you haven't tried Red Robin's Fruffles yet, get some today!

By Guest Blogger Shelby Gurley

Red Robin Fruffles Burgers
Check out Red Robin's new chocolate Fruffles. These creamy fudge brownies are elegantly cut to resemble Red Robin's infamous steak fries, and then dipped in decadent chocolate.

But, instead of regular tomato ketchup, this sweet and salty treat is dipped in whipped cream and berry "ketchup". What makes this treat special is the salt. By putting salt on the chocolate, it contrasts the flavors, so it really enhances the richness of the dessert.

Have you tried the Fruffles? We would like to know what you think of them - and Red Robin's burgers - in the comments section below.

Where Veterans Can Eat for Free

I have such admiration and respect for every veteran who has served in the U.S. military,
especially my niece, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and my dad, a U.S. Army vet. It seems only fitting then, that many restaurant chains across the country are honoring our nation's vets by offering them free meals, appetizers and more.

Here are some of top restaurant chain deals for Veterans Day on November 11:

* Applebee's: Veterans and active duty military can get a free Signature Entree, including the American Standard All-in Burger, from the restaurant chain's Veteran's Day menu.

* Red Robin:a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries.

* Olive Garden: a free meal from a limited menu.

* Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin' Onion and soda, and 15% off for active and retired military for the rest of this year!

* Denny's: free all-you-can-eat pancakes.

* Krispy Kreme: free doughnut and small coffee.

* California Pizza Kitchen: one free pizza for active military and vets.

* Chili's: one free entree all day from its special Veteran's Day menu.

* Menchie's: free 6-ounce frozen yogurt.

Plus, Bed Bath & Beyond and World Market are offering veterans 20% off their purchase through November 11. And Home Depot and Lowe's both offer a 10% discount to veterans on November 11.

These are great deals, and I hope everyone who can takes advantage of them! You certainly deserve it, and I thank you for your service.
