Of all the spring food and wine festivals in Central Florida, I enjoy the Taste of Winter Park the most. It is a smaller gathering - held at the site of the Winter Park Farmers Market - than the Downtown Food & Wine Fest. Plus, it features unlimited food and wine samples from some of Orlando's best restaurants!
Among the restaurants and shops sampling their wares this year are: 4 Rivers Smokehouse, The Bistro on Park, Luma on Park, Mellow Mushroom, Winter Park FIsh Co., Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Tibby's New Orleans Kitchen, and Peterbrooke Chocolatier. At this event, the food is original and delicious and I appreciate how upscale eateries such as Shula's Steakhouse and The Ravenous Pig prepare fancy plate presentations.
The price - $45 for those who are not members of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce - is well worth it for the delectable food and wine offered, and wonderful atmosphere. The Taste of Winter Park will be held next Wednesday, April 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Where: 200 West New England Ave., Winter Park.
